| About Us | ||
The CDC concept and methods were introduced by The Nature Conservancy in the early 1970s. The first Canadian CDC was founded in Quebec in 1988. The Atlantic CDC was initiated as a pilot in 1997, became a member of NatureServe in 1998, incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1999. The Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre became a registered charity in 2000. If you would like to support the CDC’s conservation science efforts financially, please contact Dr. R.A. Lautenschlager. The Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre (Atlantic CDC) is located on the Mount Allison University Campus in Sackville, New Brunswick, and has a satellite office in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. |
